Ricoh sets materiality and environmental goals aimed to resolve social issues in accordance with Science Based Targets Initiative

In view of the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) criteria for setting emissions reduction goals that limit global temperature rise to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels, Ricoh reviewed its environmental goals under its 20th Mid-Term Management Plan to commit to the SBTi. With this new commitment, seeks to cut its greenhouse gas emissions by 63% from the 2015 level, compared with a 30% cut under the original plan. Through this revision, the company would reach its 30% reduction in 2022, eight years earlier than originally planned. Ricoh Group will focus on 12 SDGs and address 7 materiality issues:
